1896 - 1969

George Myers was the oldest of the thirteen children born to Dave and Delia Myers. George married Ola summers in 1917. He worked for the Southern Railroad in South Carolina. "Pop" migrated to New York in the Nineteen forties and worked as a building superintendent for many years. George was noted for his tough demeanor and soft heart.

Through his union with Ola Summers, they had nine children, George Jr., Perry, Mary Ellen, Blanche, Viola, Minnie, Cliff "Slick", Louie and Carrie.
