| Mr. Oscar Myers was born May 17, 1919 to the late David Myers and Della (Grimes) Myers in Branchville, South Carolina. He departed this life on Tuesday, September 24, 2002 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Mr. Myers attended school in the Orangeburg County Public School System. He worked 43 years for the Southern Railroad System throughout South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. Due to his excellent work ethics, he received numerous promotions and accolades His hard work and diligence provided an exemplary life-style for his family. He was honored as an Outstanding Retiree of the Southern Railroad System at the Railroad Festival in Branchville, South Carolina. Mr. Myers was a deacon and treasurer at St. James Baptist Church. He was a member of the Orangeburg-Calhoun Baptist Association and of the Free gift Missionary and education Union. Oscar was married to Mrs. Ellen Lewis Myers and through that union three children were born; a devoted son, Mr. Ivory Myers of Orangeburg, South Carolina; a loving daughter, Dr. Maxine Myers Agazie of Albany, Georgia and the late Oscar Myers, Jr. who departed this life as a toddler; one son-in-law, Dr. James C. Agazie, Sr. of Albany, Georgia and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jerlene Myers of Orangeburg, Sough Carolina. Eight grandchildren, Agazie Jr. Schelviar (Nadine) Myers, Joseph C. Agazie, Chikwendu Ben Agazie and Kendrick Submitted In Love, By the Family Who Loved Him Very Much. |
